This round of releases carry a batch of small-scale reliability improvements and polish: steadier reader sign-in, more accurate newsletter sending, cleaner theme and block rendering, and a handful of plugin-specific corrections.
Reader accounts and sign-in
On sites using Audience Management:
- Readers no longer receive a stray WordPress registration email when they create an account. (#1059)
- Password sign-in stays reachable after a reader requests a one-time code, so switching back to a password no longer leaves them stuck. (#954)
- Reader metadata and logins sync correctly on sites that don’t run WooCommerce. (#1087)
- The email service provider integration is now labeled Mailchimp. (#997)
Newsletters
- The send list resolves against the connected email service provider, so a newsletter’s recipients match the list that was chosen. (#979)
- The block editor keeps its normal controls when editing admin typography. (#799)
Themes and blocks
- WooCommerce content is styled consistently even on pages outside WooCommerce’s own routes. (#980)
- Author Profile blocks load all of a page’s authors in a single request rather than one request per author. (#1030)
- Post subtitle handling is tightened. (#1024)
Networked and multi-brand sites
- Content distribution now describes the images the receiving site actually stores. (#981)
- Multi-brand sites resolve a brand URL conflict with WooCommerce. (#957)
