This release brings a revamped Newsletter Subscription Form block, with more control over how lists appear. Plus: fixes for reader data, Network content distribution, and the 3D Secure step in modal checkout.
Newsletter Subscription Form block improvements
These changes are already live on Newspack sites, released as a hotfix in Newspack Newsletters 3.43.0. They give editors more control over how lists appear in the block:
- Lists can be put in any order in the editor, by dragging them or with arrow buttons.
- Lists can show before or after the email field, in every style.
- The block’s editor sidebar has been redesigned and reorganized.
Changes to how existing blocks look
- Modern is now the default style. The original default is now an optional style called Legacy. Blocks that used the default style now show the Modern style; switch them to Legacy to keep the earlier look.
- Blocks using the Modern Grid style now show their lists above the email field. Set List position to “After” to move them back below.
