Admins can now enable and configure a countdown banner, which will be displayed for readers viewing metered content, showing how many “free” posts they’ve viewed of the total allowed before the content restriction kicks in.

“Notes” support to Newsletters
WordPress 6.9 added a new Notes feature that lets you have a Google Docs-like comment discussion in the post editor – you can add comments at the block level, reply to them, and resolve comment threads.
This feature is only available out of the box for posts and pages; in this release, we’ve added support to the Newsletters post type as well.
Add a default footer for Mailchimp
Automatically append a custom recommended footer for Mailchimp Newsletters.
This will improve Mailchimp’s default messaging and prevent users from unintentionally unsubscribing from the whole Audience when they only wanted to unsubscribe from one specific newsletter.
