Archive settings are now applied to the “posts” page
In WordPress, you can optionally set a ‘posts’ page to display all of your latest articles. Previously, the Newspack theme displayed these articles as a basic list of posts; as of this release, these articles will be displayed using the same settings as the Archive pages.
Pugpig mobile apps integration updates
We’ve been expanding our integration with Pugpig to help publishers reach their audiences on iOS, Android, and the web. Here are some recent improvements:
- Smart App Banners: Native iOS banners can now be displayed on mobile websites, prompting readers to download or open the publication app.
- Breaking news push notifications: Push notifications can be triggered for breaking news stories. Updates to the story won’t send duplicate alerts.
- Simplified reader authentication: Readers signing in to the Pugpig app can now use the same Audience Management login flow as your website, including options like Sign In with Google, providing a consistent login experience across your site and app.
