Newspack’s Author Profile block can be used to display biographical info for both WP users and Co-Authors Plus guest authors, if that plugin is active. This block is a useful component for building editorial staff pages or adding info on specific authors in the middle of a post or page.
Using the Newspack Author Profile Block
- In a post or page, use the Block Inserter and look for the “Author Profile” block (you’ll find it under the “Newspack” category of blocks):
- Type the name of an author or guest author to search for an author to display; or select an author from the list of suggestions.
- Style the block using the available options in the sidebar. The block preview should reflect how the block will appear on the front-end.
