The Luminate Group, working through the Membership Puzzle Project, is offering up to $40,000 to help newsrooms build “strong and flexible relationships” with their audience, with the goal of boosting sustainability.
The grants are aimed at news operations in Latin America, Eastern Europe, Africa and Asia. They will come from a pool of $400,000 from Luminate Group.
The Membership Puzzle Project started its Membership in News fund two years ago awarded $700,000 to 23 news operations in 13 countries, with grants up to $60,000.
